Introduction

As part of the Doctor’s Day celebration, Hindustan International School, Guindy organised a visit to Global Gleneagles Hospital, Perumbakkam to honour and appreciate the dedicated service of doctors and healthcare professionals. The visit aimed to instil respect for the medical profession and create awareness among students about the importance of health and wellness.

Objectives

• To express gratitude and appreciation for the dedication, compassion, and selfless service of doctors.
• To help students understand the vital role of medical professionals in promoting health and saving lives.
• To inspire respect for the medical profession and encourage empathy, kindness, and community service among students.
• To create awareness about the importance of healthcare and healthy living.

Outcomes

The Doctor’s Day visit was a memorable and enriching learning experience. Students gained valuable knowledge about healthy nutrition, hydration, and anaemia prevention while developing a deeper appreciation for the commitment and compassion of healthcare professionals.

The programme successfully inspired students to adopt healthy lifestyle practices and express gratitude towards the medical fraternity.
